Well I thought it was about time to put some new news on the website having left it unattended for a few weeks! A lot has happened in the last few weeks and a lot is due to happen in coming weeks...
Firstly, we have some new equipment! We are now using a 15 inch Macbook Pro to run discos from, loaded with a brilliant piece of DJ software - Traktor Scratch Pro. We upped the specs to a 2.66GHZ dual core intel chip, with 500GB hard drive running at 7200 RPM, with 4GB of RAM (for those of you who understand this jargon!). This is a bit overkill for most discos, but should I need to do some more complicated mixes - it will make life a whole lot easier! This gets controlled by a Behringer BCD3000 control surface which feeds into a mixer, and then in to the speakers (oh and we have backup of course as well!). The laptop is also great for location recording and band recording as it can happily handle up to 80 channels of audio without blinking. Oh, and it looks beaauuttifuul!!
So coming up we have got everything from Musicals and plays through to outdoor events and even 'DJ teaching sessions' at Hurst College for Manor Courses. The events at Hurst have now been confirmed - all 18 of them!
In the next week we have a couple of parties to DJ for which is going to be good fun - although the Public Liability Insurance/Equipment insurance has come up for renewal which is a pain but it an absolute necessity.
